Educational Background
Dr. Saif has done his education at the University of Glasgow and graduated with honours. He completed his initial surgical training in Glasgow, and in Manchester, training in general surgery, orthopaedics and plastic surgery, before becoming a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2012. He was then admitted to the highly competitive speciality training program in plastic surgery in London, where he worked in world leading units in plastic and reconstructive surgery, including the Royal Free Hospital London, St George’s Hospital, Chelsea and Westminister Hospital and St Thomas Hospital. He was then awarded the fellowship in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) from the Royal College of Surgeons.
Professional Credentials
He is on the General Medical Council’s specialist register for plastic surgery and has won the fellowship award from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, of which he is a member. He is also a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and is on the plastic surgery committee in the Royal Society of Medicine. Throughout his career Mr Azzawi has had a collaborative academic interest in facial reanimation trauma and aesthetic surgery, where he researched published and presented his work in the UK and abroad, this has won a number of awards including the president’s prize at the international royal medical services meeting for his work on facial reanimation surgery.
